Held in Fort Worth, Texas, the SAE aero design 2011 witnessed ‘Viyaccra’, 'Team Golden Eagles’ first attempt at the competition. Aimed for the regular class, various impressive features of the design such as the pusher configuration to increase efficiency, optimised structures, twinboom tail for effective control led the design report to be ranked 5th globally. Based on the overall score in design report, oral presentation and flight, team Golden Eagles ranked 21st  internationally !
